At Didsoft Company Limited ("Didsoft", "MyIPHide.com") we recognize that privacy is important. This Policy applies to all of the products, services, websites and mobile applications offered by Didsoft. Didsoft is committed to handling personal information in accordance with the privacy principles of Notice, Choice, Onward Transfer, Security, Data Integrity, Access and Enforcement.
We offer a number of services that do not require you to register for an account or provide any personal information to us, such as our proxy lists. In order to provide our full range of services, we may collect the following types of information:
Didsoft only processes personal information for the purposes described in the applicable Privacy Policy for specific services. In addition to the above, such purposes include:
We may process personal information to provide our own services. When you make a purchase, the payment is processed by the applicable payment provider: purchases in the iOS app are billed by Apple, and purchases on our website are processed by third-party payment providers under their own privacy policies.
When you sign up for a particular service that requires registration, we ask you to provide personal information. If we use this information in a manner different than the purpose for which it was collected, then we will ask for your consent prior to such use.
If we propose to use personal information for any purposes other than those described in this Policy and/or in the specific service notices, we will offer you an effective way to opt out of the use of personal information for those other purposes. We will not collect or use sensitive information for purposes other than those described in this Policy and/or in the specific service notices, unless we have obtained your prior consent.
You can decline to submit personal information to any of our services, in which case Didsoft may not be able to provide those services to you.
Our desktop and mobile applications (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android) generate a random, app-specific device identifier locally on your device when the app is first installed or launched. On iOS, this identifier is a randomly generated UUID stored in the device Keychain; on the other platforms it is likewise a randomly generated value stored locally on your device. In all cases, only a shortened, one-way-hashed form of it (the "Device ID" shown on the Account screen of the app) is transmitted to our servers when you sign in, activate or refresh your account. We use this identifier solely to:
We do not use the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA), the Google advertising ID, or any other advertising identifier to create the Device ID, and the Device ID is not used for advertising, analytics or tracking purposes.
For premium (paid) accounts, there is no limit on the number of devices you may use while all of them are connected to the same network (LAN or Wi-Fi). You may use your account on devices on up to two different networks. If you sign in on a third network, the devices on the first network are automatically signed out; no manual device deactivation is required, and there is no need to contact us to unbind a device.
Depending on the platform, the identifier may persist when you uninstall and reinstall the app; for example, on iOS it is stored in the Keychain and therefore survives reinstallation. You may ask us to delete your account's device records at any time by contacting us, and erasing your device's content and settings (or removing the app's stored data on your platform) removes the identifier.
The Service is a proxy/VPN service. On desktop (Windows, Mac, Linux) it's a proxy service. On mobile (iOS, Android) it's a VPN service. In order to deliver your network traffic, our proxy/VPN servers necessarily handle the requests you send through them. We keep logs only to prevent abuse and for diagnostic purposes, and retain them for a maximum of 60 days; if the log files become too large, we may delete them sooner. We do not log the content of your traffic, and we do not sell your personal information. Your use of the proxy is not used to profile your browsing activity.
Didsoft only shares personal information with other companies or individuals outside of Didsoft in the following limited circumstances:
We may share with third parties certain pieces of aggregated, non-personal information, such as the number of users who visited a particular page on our website. Such information does not identify you individually.
We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
Didsoft processes personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this Policy or any applicable service-specific privacy notice. We review our data collection, storage and processing practices to ensure that we only collect, store and process the personal information needed to provide or improve our services. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we process is accurate, complete, and current, but we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary.
When you use Didsoft services, we make good faith efforts to provide you with access to your personal information and either to correct this data if it is inaccurate or to delete such data at your request if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or for legitimate business purposes. We ask individual users to identify themselves and the information requested to be accessed, corrected or removed before processing such requests, and we may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required. In our mobile apps you can also request deletion of your account and the personal information associated with it directly in the app (Account screen, "Delete Account"); deletion may also be requested at any time by contacting us. If you have an active auto-renewing subscription, please cancel it first, as deleting your account does not cancel it. After we receive a deletion request, we confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 15 days; records we are required to keep by law (such as transaction records) are retained in anonymized form only.
Didsoft regularly reviews its compliance with this Policy. When we receive complaints, it is Didsoft's policy to contact the complaining user regarding his or her concerns. We will cooperate with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including local data protection authorities, to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of personal data that cannot be resolved between Didsoft and an individual.
Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Policy without your explicit consent, and we expect most such changes will be minor. Regardless, we will post any Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of Policy changes). Each version of this Policy will be identified at the bottom of the page by its effective date.
